Would value advice on this one. Family member needs a CU change. Old wylex at the mo. Considering doing it for cost esp as he's putting us up for a few days. As I am not self employed I am not sure how to go about the paperwork side of things. I was going to test the property and provide a cert from a photocopy of the sample in the BRB along with sched of inspections and test results etc. I guess it still needs to be notified to LABC etc what sort of costs would be incurred in that?

Thats just it. Not my LABC, he lives in the SW
Look on their website then? You should be able to view most LABC websites from outside the county border. ;)

Thanks for the replies. Obviously I want to do the right thing. The right thing in all cases is surely to ensure a safe installation. I will do the full PIR and any remedials that need urgent attention. As for the rest of it as has been said above I'm sure

You can download ANY electrical cert (Customisable too) from our Download Area.

When you download them, the different type of cert will be displayed in "Tabs" along the bottom of your screen.

As has been mentioned.....

It is the option b. for Certification of notifiable work you will be looking at Rev.

Page 11 Of Approved Doc P

Paragraphs 1.21, 1.22 & 1.23

Just need to check with the relevant LABC what their charges are for this notification route.
