Danfoss 103 Timeclock Stiff Tappets

Hi all and happy new year. Have a Danfoss 103 Clock where the red and blue tappets are incredibly stiff to move. Any thoughts on how to loosen up if possible or is it just the nature of the design.

The dreaded Randall 103 (rebadged), your lucky yours has stiff tappets as the common problem is these come loose and move round with the dial. I would leave well alone.

I managed to make my door open better on my van with that white spray grease. Probably not good for electrical stuff, what about a bit of contact spray with a lubricant in it?

4 options

1) leave it well alone

2) dustbin

3) big hammer then dustbin

4) PTFE spray in very small amount   BUT this may well force you into option 2) above

no guarantees, your choice

Concur with my colleague.

Stiff  =still usable ( albeit awkward)

"Soggy as a tarts` moggy" = no use to man nor beast.

I`ll leave it as it is

According to danfoss, stiff Tappets are normal.
