I was asked to put some downlights in a bathroom last week but its a top floor flat and the joists go everywhere and am unable to get a good spread

So i need a good IP rated ceiling fittint that will give out a decent amount of light

there is no window and the bathroom is 2.5m x 1.5m

any ideas/suggestions please

i think you are right there Dave

best output of light but not the prettiest.........rented property so it will be ok

as for the round bulkhead they are ok but ugly !!!

I used a Wickes globe light the the other day as the nearest I could get for a like for like - an old RING one similar to that TLC one that crumbled (the white bezel) as I took it apart to inspect. Wickes was just round the corner was a big factor - pleasantly surprised by the result. Again, only IP44 but plenty of room above for connections:

What about this aurora light from our forum sponsor  http://www.ukelectricalsupplies.com/Aurora-Lighting.htm

Its supposed to be chrome although the picture is the white coloured fitting.

We have a similar fitting in our adapted bathroom at home which used to be the garage, hence the room dimensions are near enough to yours and again there is no window.

Its a thorn fitting (not sure of model no but can have a look if you want) and gives out plenty of light,

I would fit a 28 w 4pin 2d fitting thorn make a decent one I have fitted loads of these not the best looking but not the worst either
