... Chaps and Chapesses,

I have done a little filming with my Digital Video Camera. I have taken the Memory Card out and transferred the video footage to my PC.

But when I try to view the footage on my PC all I see is those wavey lines like you get when audio is playing.

BTW, There is no audio coming through. Yes my speakers are working. :)

No matter what programme I try to open it with - the same happens.

How do I sort thie out please?

Oh, I need to edit some of the footage too. The discs that I had with it are supposedly Carp. There was someone on here sometime ago that said they would supply me with the editing programme that they use. I can't, for the life of me, remember who said it.

All help appreciated. :)

Thanks.

I don't think so Andy.

It says looking for Codec on the bottom, then it says Codec found. But it can't be the right one.

I think its easy if you just use the software or the driver of your digicam, anf if you want to edit it, try to use windows moviemaker ...

Here's a little gem of a system.

If your messing about with video or playing all sorts of files then go to AVS and download the suit.

The AVS player plays practically everything, when quicktime win player and others fail AVS player carries on.

There is also a full set of authoring and conversion tools between al sorts of formates.

I recommend this one up with "firefox" and "vipre"

I have re-installed the Drivers and Codec and it all works great.

Thanks Guys.
