dimplex storage heater

Hi,

I have just recently looked at two dimplex storage heaters xt24 that were not producing any heat, one of them i clicked the thermal cutout and its working again 'thanks to Andy's sticky i found it straight away. the other one the thermal cutout would not click so i presume its something else, has anyone anyone any ideas.

There's only a few things it an be if the heater is getting a supply.

The input stat, the safety stat or the elements.

can all 3 element go at the same time

Not normally, but it's sometimes difficult to tell if only ones gone on a 1.7kW

i think the wattage of the xt 24 is 3.2KW

It a long thread where someone had exactly the same problem and we talked him through a series of tests that determined the heating elements had blown.

Prodave an excellent thread thank you, never really touched storage heaters as the guy i worked for wouldn't touch them. after your explanation seem quite confident to have a go thank you once again.
