If the gas has to be bonded within 600mm of customer side and before any branches this would leave a lot to be desired.

I would struggle with all that bleach under the sink!

If you cannot comply with the recommended distance from the sink, one way of making it safer is to add RCD protection, this does not mean everything needs RCD...
