Hi im just starting out on my own and im having no luck findind out the right phone numbers for the supply parameters or getting the fuse pulled. im going to be joining niceic so ive started using there lay out certificates, i know this is a stuid question but what does the Uo stand for, im based in essex

 
- Uo is voltage between phase and neutral

- U is voltage between phases

So on our domestic single phase ... u is n/a uo is 230v

U- voltage between lines (phase, live, tingly wire,etc)

Uo-nominal a.c rms line voltage to earth (earth, neutral)

all single phase systems are 230v, U not applicable, and all 3 phase systems are 400v between phases (U) and 230v to earth (Uo)

Tis all in the big red bible. old testement near the front

 
Do you's find out by asking or do you just test
are you sure your competent to carry out electrical work? some of your questions are very basic. also, youve been here since 2009 so id assume youve read a fair few threads. which would answer your DNO question & everything else
