Yes .

Our dog reacts to any dogs or animals on the TV even cartoon cats and dogs. He has now logged into the music that accompanies adverts. So with that shepherd who should have gone to Specsavers and shears the sheepdog, after two notes of opening music , dog comes hurtling from whatever anti-human devillry he,s involved in , to take up position in front of the screen. :C

Without doubt mate. My dog is glued to the screen whenever anything resembling a dog or similar mammal appears on tv. But associating music with the picture about to be shown.... That's impressive!

I have 5 dogs, some take no notice whatsoever, one runs to the TV any time a dog or another animal appears on screen, one instantly looks at the TV if a particular theme tune comes on (as it signals my wife's return home from work), and any other themes that he finds interesting. I often find them watching TV, and similarly totally ignoring it.

HMV records were dubbed the "Dog and Trumpet label"

by one radio 1 wag.

The dog was called Nipper and apparently that was his

posture when he listened to the gramaphone horn.

I am restoring a 78 RPM player. It is a beauty.

And yes, the record player is a wind-up, not this post.
