Hi All

First time on here so shall try and be as detailed as possible.

I have a shed that has a 18 metre run of armour cabled 4mm cable.

I have a distribution box for the shed that contains an 25 amp RCD and two mcb's, one for sockets (16amp), one for lights (6amp).

I am unsure what to use to supply the distribution box for the shed?

The shed will possibly have a computer plugged in and a fridge freezer and I will occasionally use a drill but thats about it.

I was unsure if I needed an RCD to supply the distribution box or simply a correctly rated mob as the shed electrics will be protected by the RCD in the distribution box.

Hope this is clear.

Thanks in advance for the help. (will try and add pics, hopefully)

Thanks for the replies, as I already have the 25amp red, will go for a 25amp mob in the house, unless I hear differently from you lot.

Cheers

Sorry about the above post,
Yes, you are trying to use a mobile phone to with autocorrect turned on, and you are not checking to see what you are posting. You also seem to have missed the edit button.

If you can't find a 25A MCB (not every stocks them) make sure you go for a lower rating.

Last question, found 32amp MCB and 20amp MCB, if I can't find a 25amp, will the 20 amp be ok?
No need to read the previous replies before asking more questions then?

Mobile phones should be banned from the internet.

You seem to be a pain in the arse, Lurch, obviously first impressions, the first reply recommended a 32 amp MCB and another person recommended that it was ok to go for the lower rating, I was just making sure I was going to buy the correctly rated MCB.

Guilty of not checking my entries before posting but I am on the computer.

Thanks for all the positive advice.

Kev
