Evening fellas, Iam trying to find out what I need to build one from scratch to use on a test bench so I can familiarise my self with how they work.

What is a DOL?

you can get one off the shelf from most wholesalers.

if you want to by individual parts

parts you will need:

Contactor

Push start (NO)

Push stop (NC)

maybe a em. stop (NC)

few bits of wire

and your done

What is a DOL?

direct on line. mostly used for motors (to connect the directly on line to phase). also used when emergency switching is req'd (contactor drops out, power goes off)
