Just been to a wedding do in Bracknell. I was staying in Woking about 11 miles away so thought if I left leaving an hr to get there it would be plenty of time. Headed off at 11 and wedding waas at 12 noon.

Traffic started backing up on the A322 for no apparent reason other than 30mph speed restrictions but no sign of any roadworks. Took over 40 mins to do 2 miles. Got to Bracknell at 5 to 12, had to find the place. Pulled up outside church just as bride was getting out of the car! Thankfully there were photos being taken so I offered a brief apology and ducked inside and sat down sharpish!

Having spent a couple of days here now, I wonder why people own cars here at all as they spend most of the time in long queues waiting.

Anyone else in the SE and peed off with the traffic?

traffic does get annoying. so when im driving miles away i usually drive through the night and miss the traffic one way, then back home in the day

traffic here is always bad - fortunately, most of my work is local so i dont need to sit in too much traffic, but still get stuck in it plenty times

Yes I live in the south east and traffic is a nightmare you have to leave early if its rush hour otherwise you may have a long wait. London is the worst thats why i try to avoid it and only work there if its a regular customer.

In my neck of the woods then Rev.............Bagshot Road onto Bracknell Rd (A322) the forestry commision have been cutting back the roadside foliage...all part of the new firebreaks through the forest, that might have been some of the problem.

I also made the mistake the day before of going through Oxford. Only been there once before and the story was the same then. Traffic chaos and lights that change so quick and people reacting so slow that only a couple of cars get through when they change! Never going there again ever!

I never ever have any traffic trouble in the cube
Eh ???

Well what a weekend, drove to Northampton friday afternoon and did an evenings work installing a new ring and a few other jopbs, travelled down to Hampshire to see a mate over from NZ - took him to portsmouth for the day, drove him back to where he was staying and then drove up to Redditch where my son lives and stayed there and drove back here this morning. Approx 800 miles done! Pleasantly surprised by free movement of traffic down sarf this time....

Returned tonight from:

1. Swansea to Shrewsbury to Bradford - Friday - 11am - 5.35 pm

2. Bradford to steptoe`s to Swansea - Sunday - 1.30pm - 7.40pm

Only issue all the way was a "red bull" artic+extended trailer convoy (10 units minimum) at Brecon Sunday evening - the tailbacks behind `em were horrendous - and I thought Red Bull were supposed to be quick!!

BTW - no motorway driving at all - sod what the satnav thought was best!!!!!!!

Woking and Guildford are all ways crap in rush hour I'm 10 miles fro

Guildford has taken me over 2 hours to get back before
