Morning all - I need a CU (dual RCD) of width 300mm or less to fit an existing space. RCBO cost too dear for customer - although a split load board with a couple of RCBOs is looking likely. Smallest so far is a contactum CU (340mm).

Any ideas - cheers all.

Update - Fastlec do a Scolmore board; dual RCD 3+3

I had this problem last year, the gap was just under 300mm. My only options were to fit 2 boards or install a cu vertically. The customer decided on the second option and it looked neat and tidy which surprised me.

Wylex 9 way single rcd with a couple of rcbo's?? 290mm wide with rcbo's it comes out at just over

out of interest should you be putting different manufactures equipment inside a fuseboard?

Why not? As long as it goes together correctly and isn't just sort of jammed in in a random fashion then it's fine. Same as sticking a Crabtree socket on an MK pattress.

Our new sponser has RCBO's that should fit wylex boards almost half that price: www.rcbo.biz
Just noticed that their RCBO's are 17th Addition compliant ROTFWL

they just keep on adding to those regs don't they :yellow card

No I'm sorry I don't agree. If you mount them on the side all the electricity will leak out.
Only if you damage/lessen the IP rating!
