Found this connection in a ceiling i knocked down to install some downlights

Well to go with that they also used a roll of earth tape to add to good measure. :innocent

What was it Bonding conductor?

Yeah its was for the main water.

cant see whats wrong with that the sparky taped the joint and twisted a few times over :^O :coat

Could not get continuity on a Bond to water once, 10mm went up in trunking from MET into ceiling appeard in kitchen down wall to sink, gave it a tug and it fell out of the ceiling!

Went back to other end and did same thing and would you believe it same thing happened

Don't think the bandit had even had the floor up above

Just proved the need to do a proper continuity test on Bonds, things are not always as they look

seen that many times, but it was often on supp bonding - cable goes from rad under floor, to nowhere

Macrame I think they call it. Usually done with string/twine . The copper is a new one on Me though . Ironic though that sleeving has been used but no decent termination .. :red card

It was a 10mm earth cable megaohm so it had it on already mate.
