Earth pool fail

Hi, I recently bought an electiv oven, when the guys came to install it they said they couldn’t due to ‘Earth pool fail’. Can anyone tell me what this is or means?

I suspect they meant “Earth fault loop impedance” fail

do you know how they determined or tested this?

does your house have an overhead electrical supply ?

they just use a plug-in checker, which fails every TT system and then they refuse to connect the cooker.

Ah, ok - it was Curry’s so I suspect you are right. Am just in process of identifying an electrician to install. Thanks for your help Murdoch

They probably said failed earth LOOP
