hi

i am trying to fit a timer to replace the old one (40 years old)

I purchased a horstman unit as advied.

Now i am confused.

i have cable from live feed - cable from offpeak feed - cable to heater.

this is  a single element tank.

the instructions really are confusing.

any help would be appreciated.

5 terminals and 6 wires is my problem.

T1 says live in

T2 says neut in

T3 neutral(s) out to heater

T4 live out to boost

T5 live out to off peak

Then it says sungle heater -

t4 should be connected to t5 and to the heater

neutral to t3

HELP

Post a link to which controller you have,

There should be two inputs, one for normal, always on, one for the off peak input.

Then there will be links to set, in your case for a single heater.

The indtructions that you have posted are correct

Just link terminals 4 and 5 then connect the element live to 4/5, element neutral to 3 and earth to earth..

Live supply to 1, neutral to 2 and earth to earth..

Simples :)

Thanks for the reply.

When you say link terminals 4 and 5, is this done with a separate piece of cable or is there a way of linking that i havent identified?

The rest of this make absolute sense

Thanks
