I have just bought an gas cooker to replace my old electric one, it has come with a pre fitted plug. On the back of the new cooker where the plug is wired in it goes into 3 standard connectors, would i be able to wire this to the old power lead from the old electric cooker as i don't have a socket at that side of the kitchen. I have a gas engineer coming on tuesday to do the gas work but i need to get to the bottom of this before he arrives.
I am worried that the cable and switched socket won't have the right sized fuse in it to blow if there is a problem.
Any advice is appreciated if i need to get an electrician in its not an issue but getting hold of one in this town is like finding hens teeth.
