I have been searching for a good CAD programme that is fairly easy to use with drag and drop for symbol placement. I have been trying out this programme here.

What free CAD programmes are out there?

We use AutoCAD which is expensive but good, however, I also use Visio for presentations, structures, flowcharts etc which comes with MS Office Professiona. This has standard electrical, hvac and it/data symbols you can drag and drop. If you don't have already, download on trial will probably be quite cheap to buy too.
