I had 2 lxt combi drills , trigger used to get full of dust and stick on both and both clutches gave up the ghost in a very short period .
The impacter however has been and still is good .
 
My boss's makitas suffer same trigger issues but he treats em like dogsh** , mine have been faultless , but i am a bit of a tooltart and use an old paintbrush to get giprock out of trigger and vents etc

Great if you have the time , at 62 I think not so long left for such tasks ,I did buy a downlighter cutter with a plastic cover which catches most of the dust .
My dewalt has never had these issues so I use that now .
