I was watching the BBC click programme and they mentioned mobile phone apps that allowed you to take credit and debit card transactions, just wondering if anybody uses them and if so what are the costs involved. I just thought it would be a convenient way to get paid quickly?

I've had a browse on app store and so far have come across; izettle & mPowa,

I have one from Barclays,

but I dont like it TBH, and neither do any of my customers so far,

bank Tx for me, and my customers, is the way everyone seems to be happy with,

I have a few that are still cheque, but as I posted elsewhere, most seem happy with a bank Tx by return once I have e.mailed invoice etc.

You could try looking at tradetill.com was in PE the other month dunno much else about it but may be worth a look

I was looking into that trade till thing but it seems you need to use PayPal to receive payments to which means more cost

You could always add it on and offer a 5% discount for payment by bank transfer or cash (or whatever the fee was)
