I just bought a Combo too.

Seems like a good little van, ex water board so some decent racking in the back and even a sink!

They are a bit short on space in the back but haven't had any problems getting anything in yet!

Petrol  or diesel Chris ?     I learned today that the temp gauge  takes forever to start reading apparently.

Also realised that the cab headlining has storage above it ,

Diesel, it's the 1.3cdti. I've heard people saying they lack a bit of power but frankly I don't hammer my vans and never go too far so not really an issue.

I did find it took a while for the temp gauge to move, was a concern at first but after a few longer trips am happy it's working ok, and it does have space above the headlining, dunno what to put there yet, reckon it'll end up full of newspapers and trade catalogues!

Does yours gave many miles? Mines done 132k but being a fleet van should have been serviced regularly (I hope!).

95000 m  Chris , the MOT shows the previous milages,  , 2003  it seems clean & tidy  and although diesel it drives like a car .   First Vauxhall TBH   always driven Fords .  I'm told the Vauxhall diesel  engine is first class & economical .    Waiting to get the cambelt replaced ,  no idea if its ever been done so can't risk it .

As you say , you'll be going to jobs not Formula 1 ,  1300  will be fine .  If its Town / city driving its mostly traffic anyway.

My digger has a Peugeot engine. I changed the cambelt on that myself.

I hit a brick wall trying to find out how to do it, everywhere just said "take it to a dealer" but it was easy in the end. On my engine you pin the crank, cam and injector pump pulleys before taking the belt off so they keep position when fitting the new one. Except I could never locate the hole to pin the crank (a pin goes through the flywheel) so I just worked on the basis the crank was not going to turn all by itself,  and took the precaution of turning it over by hand 8 full revolutions before trying to start it so I was sure no piston and valve were going to meet.
