it was a ring mate with high resistance on the phase, i want to make it a radial, the high load stuff is on grid switches in spaces designed in the kitchen at the start of the circuit

tom1,

I accept this, but, you still should do the full design calcs if you are in doubt that the circuit will comply with the std criteria.

The high loads at the start of the "now" radial will have an affect on the terminal voltage.

You should calculate this using Kirchoff's current laws to ensure that your radial design complies with the volt drop constraints.

had a shower and been thinking this through.

so when the high loads are running voltage drop will increase at the end of the circuit

Kirchoff's current laws can be used to calculate how much.

but like you said before you dont know what els will get plugged in,

i need to grasp Kirchoff's current laws

but i think this circuit needs to stay a ring, i was hopeing for a less intrusive fix but i dont think its going to fly.

thanks everyone for tha advise, today i replaced the damaged cable makeing it a ring again.

thanks
