I've had a bronchoscopy!! (20 years ago)

Camera into the upper lungs via the nasal cavity...

Concious for the full procedure, although was sedated a fair bit!!

It should be nothing more than a bacteria/allergy issue..

I understand it's the laxatives and enema is the worst part of the procedure.

Also you can't drive home.

I am likely to be the only member on here to have actually performed endoscopy on both dogs and horses!



The tubing isn't changed between uses and patients. The scope is cleaned and cold sterilised (usually in glutaraldehyde).

Thanks, comes with age, but as I say it is a long term problem, so I'm hoping to get to the bottom of it..
