Hate making decisions.

Old house had British Gas, no issues, good customer service.

New house I believe is with eon.

Don't know what to do for best. Stay with BG, change to eon, become a vet, something else?

Thoughts. ..

I just go for the cheapest. People usually say "but the customer service is terrible". Well yes, but if I don't contact customer service then no problem.

Yes, and never pay by direct debit. It is easy enough to wait for a bill and pay it on your computer. No problems at all with customer service then!! They soon perk up and contact you when they think you owe them money. You try to contact them if they overcharge you and have ALREADY got the money....

john..

BG surprised me with their efficiency tbh. Much better to deal with round here than EDF. On the practical front easier and quicker to get REC fitted isolators with BG. Customer service just better. And if there's a problem they tend to call you if they say they will. Switched the home leccy supply to BG on the back of issues with EDF (even though we don't have gas  ). Got their landlord's package too on a couple of properties and they're always spot on with the inspections, repairs and communication.

worth looking at Sainsburys - BG in disguise, Think we are currently on OVO, can't remember as we change every year
Been reading up on ovo this afternoon actually. Seem to have brilliant reviews and decent prices. Knocked a spreadsheet up to compare a few. Ovo was cheapest by a good bit. They also offer smart meters if I decide to have them fitted again. They could be a good candidate.

OLD THREAD ALERT!

Just had an email from eon telling me that my dual fuel bill is going up to £128/month from £99 previously £69!

Fed up now, money's tight and I can't  afford it so....

Do I go OVO  or there another alternative??

:)

Just a wild guess here but I think you need to switch off those "growing" lights:)

Have a look at first utility. I bet your be able to get dual fuel fixed for a year for around £60-£70 per month. That's what I'm paying...3 kids and 4 bed house.

My wife had awful experience  with First Utility at her last place. Overcharging, never used the readings given , would not follow up any complaint and ignored the ombudsman . They threatened her with legal action many times but ended up getting done by the ombudsman themselves . They got a large fine & let my mrs off the 9 months of bills in dispute completely as a sorry.
