The one thing really gets me is when someone says we are more secure in the EU

WTGrape were they all when we were sensing a task force a a lone Vulcan on a mission impossible to the Falklands,?!?!?!

Oh, that's right, on the side of the Spanish-ish talking bastards from south america.....

Tis right what steps said... The MOD asked the french makers of exocets for details of their guidance systems so that we could block the things. The french, [rightly or wrongly, the argies would have wanted their money back!!] refused..

john..

USA backed Argentina too
Only as a front I would say Binky.

They gave an enormous amount of unofficial assistance .

A load of electrical work etc was required on Ascension Island which has a division between the RAF  and the US half .   On seeing our volunteer sparks doing the usual manual armoured cable hauling they took the pee , then returned with all their mechanised plant for cable hauling and joined iin .

I believe there was an huge amount of behind the scenes assistance TBH.

men on the ground are very different to politicians. The USA was supporting all sorts of right wing dictators at the time ' reds under the beds' and all that.

When France was asked to contribute some of the gold they shipped to Canada to the liberation of Europe they declined. “We’ll need it to rebuild the country after the war.”

No wonder I inherited my fathers hatred of the French.

It was a bit unfortunate I ended up working for a French company. True to style they shipped all our jobs off to China as soon as they could.

Pink Minx is 25% French, 25% Spanish the rest is English. I still love her despite her dubious background.

Oh don't laugh, how is it that every poll is suddenly putting remain in the lead, any sign of a fix? Oh and what's the Pencil all about, one of the most important decisions we'll ever make and they give us a pencil! Shame you can't sign for a mortgage in pencil we could then rub it out and change it to suit our circumstances if we needed???

Well to put it into perspective of the past 70 or so people I have spoken to only 1 has said to remain? Now I'm no mathematician or statistician but that equates to 69/1 odds, and any gambling man would take those odds?!
