hi folks just thought i would introduce myself,

I am steve and have been in the electrical trade for many years (but not as long as some!).

I am not qualified to any standard except hands on experience.

Please dont be put off by this because i deem myself to be competent to a high level.

I am looking for work mainly in house bashing so anyone out there need an old apprentice (lol) who doesnt need too much watching then please contact me.

I am familiar with all testing and have my own tools.

If ya want to know more i could always send you my c.v.

BTW i am in derby/nottingham area ...nice to meet you all.

temp/perm or just call me when you need me , anything is good :)

thks guys ...its a long shot but i gotta give a shout

I view the term "house bashing" as a derogatory one and it's use in a 'letter' looking for work shows a lack of professional outlook and maybe even a 'couldn't care less' attitude. Pity, 'cos you're only 30 mins up the M1/A50 from me.

that was a bit harsh!

i was simply trying to divert away from commercial or industrial work of which i have no experience, just been honest.

Quite a few assumptions in their mate .

A little unfair

I think it was a very honest approach,

and unless you are pretentious then I would say thats how its referred to in general.

for someone NOT to employ me as a "HOUSE BASHER" WHEN AT THE END OF THE DAY THATS ALL IT IS, THEN I WOULDNT WANT TO WORK FOR SOMEONE SO PRETENTIOUS ANYWAY.

Steve has come asking for our help.

PC Electrics - you are entitled to your opinion and I do sympathise with what you say. My reading of it is you were offering constructive feedback?

Bane/Steps - you don't have to agree with PC, but please respect his opinion.

Good luck finding work Steve.
