Oh, BTW I got a call out today so that meant that I could not contact that co.

Tomorrow is prob out as well, sorry, loads on.

If I can I will.

Let you down again, sorry!

SW, dont bother, been reading through all the bumf,

will let you know.

as for the cat5,

I need to measure it, but not a mega amount, Ive done work there before and if its only one feed(which I suspect) and a switch then its easily <50m, possibly even <30m,

depending on just how it wants it routed.

Gel filled is just like cat 5 and telecoms cable but has a tough outer sheeth and the internal cores are covered In gel. If you do use this then make sure you have a good hand cleaner or gloves as the gel sticks and stains your hands like when you touch silicone.

You could use a new website MyMaterials.co.uk to get a few quotes from local wholesalers. See which one's the cheapest. It's new so you might only get one or two prices back.

For external I normally use UV rated, for domestic it will be fine

I brought a reel of that steps when i put a network up to my office at the top of the garden its been quite a few years now with no problems. As slips says it may be better gel filled if its going to be buried. Mine goes underground in a pipe but hasn't failed yet. Fingers crossed though.
