Hi,

Quoting on a feed to garage. Going to run in 4mm 3C SWA but client wants 3 sockets (One double and 2 single MK Masterseal) on route to garage. 1 near house and 3 near pond.

As these sockets must be RCD protected (outdoors) can anyone think of any way round RCBO'ing the whole circuit as no-one makes RCD'd Single IP rated sockets and it would be cheaper to RCBO and use normal MK masterseal sockets.

There is already an RCD in the garage so there will be no discrimination between the two but ill explain that to client to see what he recons. Cant really see it being a big problem.

I didnt really want to RCBO but think its the only way unless anyone else can suggest anything.

Thanks for reading and being patient as im learning all the time.

Thanks

Ive just found one on ebay..... MK master seal K6301GRY

It's in a 2g enclosure, but it is 1gang!

Not cheap though!!

M4tty are you talking about the RCBO going in the consumer unit back at the house at the start of the feed to the sockets and garage? If so that

M4tty , I think your cheapest option is an RDC at the board rather than 2 x RCD sky rockets. It will cover the plugs and the garage , I don't see a big problem with that TBH.
