Mximum Compact Flo GU 10 is around 11 or 13 Watts

As Zee suggests you would be better of with the new generation LED GU10 .

5 Watt GU 10s are available that will fit standard GU 10 fittings Ie KOSNIC, LOXA etc.

They have some flourescent ones just now. About 30 i think. Its a hairdressers and they like the colour of these ones. Not been able to get a sample of their's but a few are out.

Hi Ian,

Try led hut.... They are online and I use them a lot , no problems with them at all so far 200+ used in last 6 months... Try warm white for salon if that's what your after, they do a cool white too...

They are 4watt so you can try to talk longevity over the cfl which never really took off and I find don't last a great deal of time...

6.4k is daylight , too much of a blue twinge in them for salon, warm white 2.7-3.5k which is more yellow like halogen is better, cool white is around the 4k mark but can wash out the colour a little.. It really depends on manufacturer of led as they all have slight differences , I've done a few salons and had Illuma in speccing lights and offer good advice... We put 2x26w PL in and complimented them with warm white led... Looks great... Can you not show them the 2 different renders and put it on their toes..

cool white are about 3600 IIRC, and much better light for salon/shops etc IMHO,

warm whiter @ 6400 looks dirty in comparison
