Hi. Be gentle, this is my first post and I'm a complete novice!

I have four fluorescent tube lights under cupboards in my kitchen. They are hard wired to the switch on the wall. Last week they all stopped working. I thought I had isolated the problem to the starter on the first light nearest the switch, so I replaced the starter. The only change was that the first three lights failed to come on, but the last one did. I have checked all the tubes on this last light and they all work, but I can't get the first three to come on, despite changing the starters those as well. Any thoughts?

Most likely they are connected in a daisy chain with the working one being first. There is a bad connection in the first one so the other three get no power.

cheers, Paul

I tried all the tubes in the one working light  and they all worked Ok so dodgy connection most likely to be the issue. I'll check and report back

Nope, each fitting will be controlled by its own starter so one faulty starter wouldn't make all of them stop working.

Complete coincidence.

I read it that the LAST zone worked,, ..and the first three did not
I don't know that it's the last one. It was physically furthest from the wall switch but I guess that doesn't mean it's the last in the sequence. Right?

Hi, thanks for your advice. As the fluorescent units were so old I took them all out and replaced with LED units. All now working fine. Cheers!
