RS is Radio Spares through, nothing to do with Radio Shack as far as I know RS is a UK company.

Worth keeping an eye on Focus. According to the press release it will continue trading for a few weeks in the hands of administrators. Interestingly enough, Focus was bought by Cerbera in 2007 for

Oh, I was always under the impression(wrongly probably then) that it was cos shack wasn't a common proper English word so Spares was used.

Correctomundo Sidewinder, RS is called Allied Electronics in north America and is indeed NOTHING at all to do with radio Shack, and it is indeed a British company.
