Had a trip down to kettering and corby today and washers were frozen all the way down there, Windscreen full of dirt but ok to see out of so got there and got some warm water from gate house put that in washers working,But coming back frozen again couldn't see anythink so i had to empty nearly all of my flask of TEA in it to unfreeze them.No garages seen on the way back

What a waste of my TEA.

thats nothing.

my handbrake cable has been frozen for a full week.

horn air valve froze

diesel in fuel line to heater froze

waste water from sink froze

pop froze

spare water for kettle froze (fortunately, frozen water in kettle was an easy fix)

surprisingly, windscreen wash water has never froze

I did have my diesel lines freeze last week,, ended up defrosting them with a hot air gun!
adding a bit petrol lowers the freezing point

Where are you Andy - Antartica?? Im surprised your eyeball fluid didnt freeze up too lol
newcastle. although it feels like Antartica!

its finally got above 0 today. and ice/snow is finally melting

try some meths or even isopropyl in your washer bottle.

get it in the chemist, you only need a little dash of it, if you are too tight to buy some proper stuff, (like me)

just use neat screenwash! I defrost my windows in the morning with a gallon of warm water NOT HOT! Then I put the wipers on intermittent to stop icing up then away I go. Screenwash never freezes.

.Last weekend just gone, was the first rain they have had in Cyprus since MAY!! We did have an isolated shower about 3 weeks ago, but that was about it...

This weekend however, It came with a vengeance from Friday night till Sunday night there were heavy thunderstorms going around all over the Island. With a temperature drop from a nice 26/28C to 16/17C...

It does get a bit nippy of an evening, even in those above higher temps when the sun goes down, after the end of October, beginning of November.

But Sod going back to live in UK, ...That kind of weather i can well do without!!! ..lol!! :coffee

.

Cyprus sounds good but not much hope of me living over there unfortunately. In this country I would rather have it cold, snowy and icy than pouring down all the time.
