Fuse/Socket Question?

My main fusebox in my home has various fuses from B6 to B40.

One of the current fuse is a B6 and is for the door bell. I no longer use the door bell so still have the transformer and a separate switch to turn off. I was thinking of removing the switch and replacing it with a 13a plug socket so it can power my broadband router. Is the B6 fuse/circuit suitable to be reused to power router? It would only be used to power router which will power 12v 2.5amp adaptor

Basically can I replace the switch for a socket so it can power internet router without any issues?

can be done, just put a label on it waying its on lighting circuit and 6a. and dont be plugging 2kw heaters into it

will only be using it for broadband router and nothing else as have it in same cupboard as the electrical meter and fuses

You asked the same question on DIYNOT with pictures of your CU. You were told NO as the ex doorbell MCB was on the non RCD side of the CU. But there seems to be an unused 16a MCB on the RCD side. Put your new socket on that.

So if you are proposing to run a new cable from a socket (by your router) back to your consumer unit (fuse-box)..

to connect onto a 6A MCB..

Why not just connect this cable onto an existing socket circuit MCB..

and save all the faffing around with the 6A MCB??

(some people do have standard sockets off 6A lighting circuits in their loft to supply TV amplifiers/booster/splitters).

The socket will require RCD protection.

Also the circuit may well be wired in 1.0mm cable which is not suitable for a power circuit such as this.

So that's a no from me.
