I always thought that the difference is if the fuses are fixed, and just the switching-blades move,(called switch-fuses) or those units where the HRC fuses are part of the moving part of the switch (then called fuse-switches). Just looked at an MEM catalogue,(their Glasgow range) and it looks like thats the right explanation. Switches are called disconnectors now.
Not quite sure why they are made like that, guess there must be a good reason.
Perhaps somebody knows.
