fit a fcu on bathroom light supply then fit a 3 pole isolator next to it above bathroom door. job done
thats what i was going to suggest, feed bathroom light/fan from spur then loop the 3c/e through a 3 pole isolator.

Clearly the 3A fuse for fans is a nonsense, however the Regulations require adherence to manufacturers' instructions. Therefore to certify that an installation complies with BS7671 then the fan must be fused down if required by the manufacturer.
Then choose a different manufacturer that does not stipulate a 3A fuse.

You need to supply the bathroom via a non-switched fused spur fused at 3 amps preferbly located outside the bathroom, then install a triple pole isolator on the 3 core between the bathroom light and the extractor fan.

Therefore the whole bathroon will be fused down to 3 amps and you can isolate the extractor for maintenance without losing your light, quite handy in a bathroom special location with no window and in compliance with BS7671:2008.

It is actually normal practice to have lower rating fuses protecting many items of electrical equipment, rather than just the circuit fuses. This aids with discrimination in the event of faults, so it is hardly nonsense.

A 3A 1362 fuse won't discriminate with a 5A 1361 fuse surely?
