Hi,

Looking at installing some lights and a socket in a garden.

Cant get cable access to the CU (marble floors etc)

17th edition split board so everything RCD protected..

There is an FCU in a kitchen cupboard on the outside wall (not a spur)

Thinking of installing another FCU to spur of the RF, going through to the outside wall and along the side of the house in metal conduit 2.5s into an ip65 enclosure with main switch and 2xmcbs and control gear for remote lights. Then into swa to the garden.

Sound OK so far?

Here's the potentially dodgy bit. Would I have to run 2 separate swa's for the lights and power or could I use 4 core (cpc, neutral and 2 lives, ie 2 circuits in one cable..)

Thanks

Steve

Using one cable means an IP rated junction box to split it into lights and sockets.

Why not just one cable from your house, and your IP rated CU at the point where it needs to split? (instead of putting the CU on the house wall)
