Goody Box

Just been given an electrical "goody box". Relative of a family friend, an old sparks, sadly passed away and they were clearing his shed out and thought I might like the stuff. Had a quick look and there's a couple of "new" as in unused MEM boards in there still in the box, Pyro tools, SDS bits, Starretts, hammers etc.

Quite touched by the thought. Tbh it's a bit of a downer on a Friday night to be thinking of the old boy now gone and the work the tools must have done!

I'd rather my tools went to someone who would use and appreciate them, rather than stick them on ebay or a carboot sale for 25p each

Other than that, you know the missus will simply chuck them with all the other tat you've accumulated in your shed,,,, :slap

I'd even wager she will pay me to take the body away as well,,,,,

I always feel like that TBH , they are tools that helped him to , basically , feed his family for all those years .

A mate I'd known since we were 7-8 yr olds , playing in the grimy Birmingham streets , died too early from the usual , his wife gave me his 110V Bosch SDS  drill , which I still use , he was a good Chippy & I'm proud to use it .

I gave my imperial conduit gear away a month back, as for the rest of the tools I’ve decided who they are going to. He’s getting in to the industrial field and so will make good use of them.
