Today was a fun day lol got myself a new set of fluke test lamps (T110) and my new regs book and osg. And after a quick look through I have a question lol. Now to my understanding you could calculate max Zs by taking instant trip current and diving the voltage by said current and you got max Zs, however since they have changed these values, how can I work them out now, closest I got was using 220V

Any ideas?

Cheers

Bobby

Very well done Noz that's exatly what it is haha

I would also have seen this if I had read the small print under the table saying that the values have been calculated using 95% of minimum voltage haha

i hear the next version will be using Zs values based on 110v... then a 50% correction factor just for the hell of it. just guessing since they have changed them in every new book...

they have changed it every time... i wonder how many times it has actually caused a problem or not tripping in time (so needing changed), or if its just someone with thousands of qualifications but has never been out of an office

i hope youre not using it for non-electrical purposes
I was only saying to Rachel and Emma the other day....."you two look a little peaky, would you like me to check you over"....Rachel,rolled over and slipped the top of her basque down to waist level.....then I woke up and had to go to work!

To be contiued
