ground heat pump and underfloor heating

I have to connect up a under floor heating system, but will be used a ground heat pump anything I should look out for, as ive never combined the two

Also would a underfloor heating system be classed as an S plan, the wiring guides don

You can configure UFH as S plan or Y plan, it's up to the plumber. You just need to know what he has done.

You just need to read all the instructions. The bulk of the work for UFH is connecting all the room thermostats back to the manifold control box.

The manifold control box then provides a "call for heat" (when any of it's zones call for heat) and you treat that just as you would a single room thermostat in a conventional radiator system.

i did one last year for the first time

took me an hour to understand the instructions and to work out the wiring..

how many zones do you have ????

I have just done one and all that is required is a feed to the pump from the u/f control box. the ground heat source has a thermal store tank that is constantly on and when your system calls for heat the u/f control box switches on the circulation pump thats it. there was no s plan or y plan to wire ( but your system may be different )

Just a single zone system I think, only heating a small house two up two Down, there also a rain water harvester think there pretty straight forward though

With the UFH wasn't 100% sure what to do With the heat pump, never had anything to do with one let alone connect to a UFH system, by sounds if it just treat as a normal boiler
