Hello
new to the forum so be gentle lol
i am about to have a new shower installed to replace an old one ......
sparky has confirmed 10mm cable into board......on a 32 am mcb...
shower will be 9.5kw but states will require 45 am mcb or 50 if lager kw shower
length of run from isolator cord is approx 5 metre running from isolator pull down cord in loft (insulated ) then into cavity wall (5 metres total)
sparky checked shower and confirms that for whatever reason ( proberly for easy installation) the original sparky15 years ago, has put in 6mm cable from shower to the isolator switch then ran 10mm from isolator into mains 32 mcb, which he states will be fine...if changed to a 45 am
1) hager do not do a 45 am mcb would 40 am mcb be ok for the 9.5kw shower.
2) would the cable that is 6mm from shower into isolator switch need to be changed to 10mm cable
Thanks for any responses in advance
