;)

Happy new year to everyone, better get it done now as later I'll probably be incapacitated and unable to see the computer screen, never mind being able to type a legible reply:)

Hope you all have a good one tonight and Smilers hope everything goes to plan ;)

+ 1 to all the comments above!

The last year has been carp for us...apart from arrival of a second grandaughter in February!

We will be getting r4t 4r$ed this evening...first grandaughter [18 months old] has to go into Hospital next week for a major operation. She will be unable to walk for months and then she will have to learn to walk all over again. So when she is in for the Op , and for a long time afterwards, we cannot drink in case we get called by Daughter etc. Not sure how we are going to cope, but we will. I even have to build special chairs for her; the one that will live at our house may well be 'pimped', it would be rude not to!

Ho hum, it could be much worse and many people are in a far worse position than us...it just hits harder when it is so close to home

I hope everything goes well with your grand daughter.. TBH she will cope with it quite easily, it the parents & grand parents that have the hardest time..... This is from personal experience, I was born with a club foot and had corrective surgery at a young age (prob about 3), from that time on it has never caused me any major problems, but I guess that my parents went through several sleepless nights.

Agreed 100%....she will just get a whiff of 'funny air', dream of dogs and ponies, wake-up, look down and think 'FFS what's going on here?'...this must be what happens' and just get on with it. Us, on the other hand.....

The problem she has was missed by all concerned until my Daughter 'kicked off' big style...even the Consultant told daughter she was being neurotic. Daughter exploded and Consultant reluctantly gave her a scan. Daughter said you could see the colour drain from his face when he saw the scan result. If caught earlier there would have been no surgery and it could have been sorted. Daughter would have liked her to follow her little sister and be a national Hockey Player or Equestrian star. Sights have now been lowered to her 'just being ok; the rest is a bonus'

Im not being funny here, or making light of your grand daughters situation, but sometimes I think you would be better going to a vet,

they can diagnose problems without anyone being able to tell them,

bloomin' quacks!!!!!
