Hi guys,

i have just found the forum and after a quick peruse decided to join up.

I am currently serving in the RAF but after 10 years wish to leave to persue a career as an electrician

i have spent 10 years as an electrician on aircraft but domestic sparky is something i have always fancied doing.

I have completed my 17th edition and by the time i leave i will have completed

my JIB, Part P and C&G 2392-101 and 2392-301

I know that this does not make me an electrician but it is a career path i want to tread. i'm certainly not wet behind the ears at 32 but know i have a steep learning curve ahead of me

I have been working on weekends with a sparky for free to gain some experience but this is very minimal.

i look forward to learning from you guys.

Welcome to the forum. :)

I hope your carrer as a spark "Takes off" for you. :coat

Hello and welcome, theres plenty of help available here, just ask. And try the student section, might provude some info on what courses you may/maynot have to do on your way to becoming a spark

Welcome. We have quite a few ex forces guys on here :D
Pache....hold on mate.....he is RAF..... ;) so how can you describe him as "ex forces" ????? ?:|

In the RAF ONLY commissioned officers are allowed to fight the lower ranks are not allowed see..... :innocent

Now to be "ex forces" you really do need to be a member of the "armed forces".... :C

I run for cover........... :run

i totally agree with you, i am about as military as a tin of baked beans

after 10 years it has lost it's "spark" (pun intended) so i don't see the point of another 12 years in a job i have no interest in.

sending the officers to war is more of a thinking mans force.

as an nco i have no inclanation to fight anybody

Welcome to the forum and hope you enjoy the banter with the lads and lasses :Welcome:
