Hello,

I am inquiring into a possible apprenticeship programme  or trainee position which will allow me to study and learn to become a fully qualified electrician.
After talking to a few company's it seems that there is a shortage of qualified electricians and believe that this career path is exactly what I am looking for and to succeed in.

I am now looking for a company that will take me on and train me to the standard at which is to be expected in the industry and to allow me to learn all that I need to successfully complete any job.

At the age of 20 I have had experience in manual jobs, as well as office work which has allowed me to gain skills that when put together make a well rounded character that can deal with most situations.

If anyone does apprenticeship scheme or training with a qualified electrician I would really like to hear from you

thanks

Conor

Can't help you on an apprenticeships but companies are probably right about qualified electricians a lot of so called electricians that are going around have been on 5 week courses so don't have the practical experience. All you can do is keep writing to companies and hope you get an opening. Good luck.
