Hi all,

Have been lurking for a little while now, & decided to leave the closet & join in :D

I found this forum from a revision website & I am glad I did as all the other UK electrican forums seem to descend into Part P bashing, arguments about what the regs mean & general rudeness!

I have just completed two 5 day wonders & by no means concider myself to be an electrcian... So as of the 1st of March I start my 2330 or whatever it will be called by then!?

I think I will be registering with NIC soon as the dno comeout to fix my leaky cutout & Then I can Install a new cu for my major part of the assesment.

But from what I have read about the NIC I don't think I will be with them for long.

Sorry for the long intro and for the stupid forum name (was trying to be clever - didn't really work!).

Oscar :D

Welcome to the forum mate (not going to even attempt your name) :)

Good introduction, and your welcome here.

I think you may have been misled with popular myths about scheme providers, they all do the same and all have the same registry requirements.

So it would make little difference who you enrolled with, and good luck with your exams.

Thanks given, just so that if I need to reply to any of his next posts your around to type his name for me :)

I think that I may have been brainwashed into thinking that NIC is the way to go, I think its the fact that many local authorities only use NIC contractors, I jus thought It would be a good foot in the door until I set up on my own. :)

Again many thanks for the warm welcomes! It's nice to feel :Welcome:

:p
