Im Andy, been a sparky for about 15 years and started self employed in November (great timing or what!!!)

I did mainly industrial but covered everything, so now I got to wait and see what happens along.

bassman, I had a few years as a manger myself then got made redundant so decided to go for it.

I saw the advertising thing, looking at it now but I thought I would hang around for a while first (not being a pushy sort )

Hi, and welcome.

I did things the opposite way. Was a manager, then knowing I'd be made redundant sometime decided to enroll for the course. Got lucky, and fell out of one job into another with a wadge of redundancy money that held us up whilst I was still training. Good employer - paid for the rest of my training and put me through 2391, nvq3 and paid me the time I was at college.
