New member, introducing myself.

Just getting into the profession after a previous life in teaching and lecturing

Been spending a fair time doing domestic extensions, kitchen fittings and home improvements, but have now branched out into "proper" electrics including inspection and testing. Despite only been at it for a few months, it's surprising how many horrors I've already come across. Still, can't be all that bad, can it ?

In short ....yep !!         The "horrors"  are waiting on a weekly basis . mostly on the domestic side . 

But welcome to the Forum ..     just slightly puzzled at your profile when you say " Time served"   and then "... just getting into the profession " 

(We had a customer who referred to us as "Bodget & Scarper"     BTW )

Thanks for the welcome.

I spent a fair time on building sites, before spending a number of years teaching. In the last year I had the chance to get a number of electric qualifications and get signed up on a competant scheme. So getting back to getting the hands dirty for a living.
