Hi I’m new to this forum and I wondered if anyone was able to give me some advise. When I put the heating on my boiler leaks I think in two places, but when I turn it on for hot water it doesn’t leak. It’s driving me nuts. Does anyone know what could be the problem? I have tried taking photos to show where the leaks seem to come from if that will help.

If its a combi boiler, when you turn a tap on a diverter valve takes water through he heat exchanger to the hot water pipes. When you turn the heating on the water is pumped around the flow and return pipes to the radiators. It sounds like you have a leak on the heating side? would help to have pics and make of boiler?
As above, plus, does it leak a little or a lot? ( i.e. drips, trickle, etc). Is it instant or after heating up for a while?
Is there a pressure gauge and what does it indicate, when cold, hot water on, and heating on. Does it go up when it's leaking? Do you have top up the water?
We may be able to give you some pointers but it's highly likely you are going to need a boiler technician.
Not necessarily. IMHO there are a lot of plumbers who will tinker with boilers but don't really have the knowledge of properly trained specialists.otherwise known as plumber
Boilers have become very complex machines now, a long way from the basic burner + heat exchanger + pump assemblies of old..
I will only let manufacturer's technicians service my WB boiler and I think this is the cheapest in the long run.
You are right of course Geoff, I jest. My local WB specialist is also a well known local plumber/ gas eng and he knows his stuff for sure.
