I have an Electrolux EOC55200X that has had very little use since new as the house was largely unoccupied until last year. The people who rented it for 6 weeks left it in a really dirty condition so I had to clean it using the pyrolitic cleaning function. The oven came out lovely and clean but about 20 minutes after finishing the cycle it tripped the circuit breaker. I can turn it on but it trips the MCB after about 5-10 minutes and then once the MCB is re-set it will trip again if I open the oven door (even without turning the oven on). So, finally got round to removing it from the housing and found 2 areas of wiring where the protective sleeves at the spade connections are completely burned and brittle. These are at the oven lamp housing and at a safety thermostat. (see photos). All other wiring looks fine and the oven looks like new in all other respects but very concerned as to what is causing it. Any suggestions please?

I suspect damp in the oven from lack of use. You've then used the self cleaning function, which is basically putting it in full blast, and that has burnt out the connections.

Those push on connectors are used at their limit with the load an oven imposes. They need to be really tight onto clean blades.
Don't try to re-use overheated ones as they've lost their spring. Cut them off and crimp on new. Ensure the male blade is really clean and the new terminal really tight. Gently squeeze it with pliers if necessary before pushing it on.
I'm not sure why the damage you show is tripping an MCB though. That implies a short circuit.
Ovens often trip RCDs, due to earth leakage in elements, also often after a minute or so delay.

I gave up using the pyrolitic cleaning on my oven after I noticed the oven door surround was starting to go out of shape after one use. It really does heat the oven up to a ridiculously high temperature.

Instead i bought some industrial oven cleaner does a far better job than any of the consumer marketed oven cleaning products.

Did the oven light come on ?
Disconnect and then reconnect those dodgy connections one by one until the tripping stops.
The thermostat may be in circuit even though the oven is off.
