Can anyone read the handwriting on this census for  Finsbury , 1871 ?

Its the road name at top left ...it says  ??????? Place     I think the first letter is E  as can be seen in the names Evans .   Looks like  Ensophia Place   which is unlikely.

Also seems to be three families at  No.6  ???

There does seem to be a Europa Place if you do a search...
You're right , Noz, and Camberwell , I think , is near or part of , Finsbury .

Bad news is , my ancestors appear to be Eastenders.

The  14 yr old son , Isaac J Evans , is my G/grandfather .    Moved to Birmingham and became a Propelling Pencil Case manufacturer , jeweller & engraver.   Strangely I have a photo of him somewhere.

My guess is , the address was some sort of communial dwelling .

Camberwell is in sarf london

Finsbury is the southern part of Islington (near the City of London) in norf london

(Finsbury Park is in norf Islington, but that is not relevant)

Neither is in the East End really

Here is more on the MBF https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metropolitan_Borough_of_Finsbury

RTR was right...

I used to work a fair bit in that area and noted the signs are still up though the place has moved on a bit.

you're a north Londoner like me! :D

except I'm a mongrel and my mum's from Southport and My Dad's from Barnsley.

I used to go to school in old street

Brought up in Holloway

Moved sarf to Vauxhall-ish, doing the Lambeth Walk, oi !!

My thanks for that researching  guys ...great !!

I now have to bow my head in shame ...upon finding , tonight , my  G/G / Grandfather  .   I wondered why Matilda was shown as the head of the house , it looks like he was doing a 10 yr stretch in Clink .

Seven up from the bottom of left page .

Oh dear  Oh dear ! :(
