Hi guys. The surveyors report for my house states, "
There is a modern consumer unit in place with a single residual current device. This would not meet
current wiring regulations..."
What does this mean? Is this a case of buying a new fuse box or is it a much bigger deal? I don't have to get it rewired, so I??!!

We don't have an EICR, it was just the RICS homebuyer report when we bought the house. There are no other relevant concerns raised with the electrics.

Your whole house is protected by the one Rcd so no safety concerns, the only thing is if you have a fault it will turn off all your circuits, a new CU with individual Rcbos will only turn off the faulty circuit, so unless you have money to spare dont worry about it
