Just a few lines to break the ice.
Have been looking at the forums for a few years now but never seemed to find the time to join but now as I'm getting on and have slowed my pace of life down a gear here I am.
Have been a sparky since Noah was a Sea Cadet but now I've packed the tools away and am now an Electrical Inspector.
As with most of the senior members have seen a fair mixture of the 'good, the bad and the ugly' regarding installs etc, have felt over the years that sparks are getting a raw deal regarding pay, conditions, recognition from governing bodies protecting our trade, feel we're made to jump through hoops to retain our cards, forking out money for accreditation and still the cowboys are thriving and the 12 week wonders leaving night school believing they're a fully fledged spark.
Anyways rant over need to watch the old ticker, just my thoughts anyway would be interesting to see if others feel differently.
